Introducing the FDM printed 2JZ GTE/GE Non-VVT-i Cam Seal Installer. Designed for the JZ enthusiast or mechanic to conduct cam seal replacement service on the JZ engine. As part of regular engine maintenance, this seal must be occasionally replaced. This seal installer is a “must” for people who own or regularly work on JZ-powered vehicles.
MK1 understands the absolute nightmare of accessing and maintaining the notoriously leaky seals of 1JZ and 2JZ engines. The MK1 2JZ GTE/GE Non-VVT-i Cam Seal Installer is designed to make the hassle of cam seal maintenance a little more bearable. The seal installer component allows you to seat the cam seals in a simple and repeatable manner, after all the hard work required to get to the seal in the first place.

The 2JZ GTE/GE Non-VVT-i Cam Seal Installer was manufactured using state-of-the-art FDM printers, as well as a passionate and dedicated engineering team to formulate designs.
This component was printed using high-infill, black, ASA plastic to prevent part degradation and allow for repeated use. ASA has a high glass transition temperature (GTT) making it ideal for various car components.
All parts are designed and fabricated in the United States.
Application:
The seal installer can be used in two ways.
Method 1 (recommended): Lubricate the inner lip of the seal and place the seal onto the front main camshaft journal. Place the seal installer over the seal and insert the stock cam bolt into the seal installer. Align the cam seal installer keyway with the dowel pin on the camshaft. Tighten the bolts until the seal installer bottoms out onto the surface of 1st cam cap. Do not over-torque the seal installer, a firm fit is all that is needed.
Method 2: Place the seal onto the front main camshaft journal and lightly press it in with the seal installer by hand. Align the keyway of the seal installer with the dowel pin of the camshaft. Install the seal installer over the cam seal. Then use a rubber mallet to lightly tap the seal in, until the seal installer bottoms out onto the surface of the 1st cam cap.
