MK1 Motorsport 2nd Gen Cadillac CTS-V Headlight Delete Air Ram
Looking to maximize airflow into your engine bay or turbo inlet? The MK1 Motorsport 2nd Gen CTS-V Headlight Delete Air Ram is designed to take advantage of the factory headlight opening and provide a large, direct path for incoming air.
This setup features a 5-inch outlet flange, providing a high-flow connection point that can be adapted to a variety of intake piping and ducting configurations. Whether you're routing air directly toward the factory engine inlet or building a custom turbo intake setup, the large outlet gives you plenty of flexibility.
The air ram uses a two-piece design consisting of the main headlight delete duct and a 90-degree turn section. The 90-degree section is specifically designed to redirect incoming air toward the factory engine inlet, helping create a more direct and efficient airflow path without requiring an overly complicated ducting setup.
ASA-CF Construction
The entire air ram is 3D printed in ASA-CF (carbon-fiber-reinforced ASA).
ASA was selected for its suitability for automotive exterior and engine-bay applications. Compared with common materials such as PLA or standard PETG, ASA offers significantly better UV resistance, weather resistance, and elevated-temperature performance, making it much better suited for a part that will be exposed to sunlight, heat, and the elements.
The addition of carbon fiber reinforcement further increases the material's rigidity, dimensional stability, and stiffness. This is particularly beneficial for a large air duct, where maintaining the shape of the duct and preventing excessive flexing is important.
The result is a lightweight but rigid air ram designed to withstand the harsh environment of an automotive engine bay while maintaining its shape under heat and everyday use.
