The MK3 Supra hood bonnet rubber isolator is a replica of the original hood mounts found on 1986.5-1992 Supra models, with our own unique spin. On a 30-year-old Toyota, the rubber hood mounts tend to wear over time, especially when exposed to the harsh environment inside an engine bay.
Specifications
The hood isolator is a 1 to 1 replica of the OEM hood isolator, with the exception of the open faces which leave the internal honeycomb structure visible.
The honeycomb structure gives the part enough compliance to deform and provides reasonable support to the hood to keep it in place.
The part was manufactured using Thermoplastic Polyurethane (TPU), which has excellent thermal and chemical resistance — allowing the product to hold up to the specifications of the engine bay.
